Slava 2416 Flotskie

Here is a Slava 2416 Flotskie watch from my collection.

This watch is marine-themed, as Flotskie means of, or pertaining to, Fleet or Navy.

The water resistant mark on the back says Повышенная водозащита which means "increased water protection" and there's a picture of a cute little dolphin for good measure on the back.

Water born- and sea-dwelling creatures are often used to indicate water protection and not only in Russian watches. In this case we have also only basic water resistance as in Water Resistant 3 ATM or 30m, that is, splash/rain resistant only.

This piece follows in the tradition of Slava's pseudo-sporty watches from the late 1980s to early 2000 which means that, while it has sporty and heavy-duty looks, it's all for show.

A little bit of splash/rain resistance is all it has.

Notice it also going for a bi-metalic (whatever) look, but here again it's just cheap coating, both yellow and chrome.

But I still like the watch.

Nice cheap watch.

I know pictures are poor quality this time, even more so than usual, but honestly have no time, no desire (for now), nor means to make better ones, these will have to do.

Also there are no movement shots this time.

It is powered by a Slava 2416 movement which is automatic which means that you don't have to wind it much if you wear it regularly as the spring is winded from wrist movement via rotor.

Wrist shot.

I didn't make movement pictures but a Slava 2416 looks much like this Slava 2427 (the only difference is the former has a date calendar, the latter, day-date).
