The Negroni is maybe a classic menswear drink.
Here is one made at Pitti 105, picture borrowed from styfo
And here are some of my Negronis both bought and made and all consumed, just those I happen to have made pictures of.

Nice lunch I had last summer or was it autumn already, built around a bottle of cheap Amarone wine, that can be readily had here in Russia at lower-end supermarket chains.
Though cheap (for an Amarone), the wine is not necessarily bad
I think I got the pairing down pat.
Cheers!
Here's your tonight's this blogger approved movie, not too insightful or meaningful but a notable noir film from the golden canon of same.

The Art of Tying the Cravat on Gutenberg
By H. Le. Blanc who maybe was Balzac
Choicest quotes:
Whatever style may have been adopted in putting on the Cravat, when the knot is once formed (whether good or bad) it should not be changed under any pretence whatever.
but....
In the duties of the toilet, we may compare the tie of the Cravat to the liaisons de sauces blanches of the kitchen; the least error is fatal to the whole composition of either, and as a new sauce must be prepared, with entirely fresh ingredients, so must a new tie be produced by a fresh Cravat.

Lots of sleaze from Ana Matronic... disco sleaze
A three-Martini lunch... in fact, two Maritinis and a Negroni, of the Martinis one is more or less regular dirty Martini with an olive, the other is an upside-down red sweet fiero Martini.
Inspo on the subject of classic menswear maybe will be collected here.
To start off: don't know who or what this person is but very refreshing... though methinks the DB is donned here for purposes of fitting only.
A bottle of cheap Barolo - Antario - enjoyed in the country whilst gardening
We liked it, great if short-lived nose, palate and body - peters out quickly though or the taste buds get saturated and unresponsive - whereupon drinks as a regular table red.
