Here is a nice article on the China-made ST19** chronograph movement.
It can be found on the Lorier watch company website and is in conjunction with their Gemini chrono which is powered, yes, by the ST1901.

For the very best in menswear and style, here is my green (and PoW check) sport coat from the 1990s.
On second thoughts, this may be not a POW check, more like stripes?
On third thoughts, I am leaning to this actually being a POW check because in some pics it does appear to be it.
E5e7, Rick!
Actually, Bogart was a strong semi-professional chess player and a chess umpire, although untrained formally, and neither am I.
It's anything but tailored, more like a sack-y thing, yet has served its purpose well for over 30 years already but in some years there were only 3-5 wears a year and in some there were none.
In the thirty odd years it was not cleaned once; and as its heyday really fell on the late 1990s and early 2000s there are some stains on it to remind one of the activities of the time resembling, shall we say, dark red wine or something similar looking haha.

Here is my watch of the day today February 22, 2021 - my 3133 Strela Shturmanskie.
I think I did a write-up on the watch in this post but most of the earlier pictures seem to have disappeared.
Here is Red Square in February 2021.
After a couple of days of heavy snowfalls.
For today's music approved by this blogger, here are some numbers by Vladimir Cosma from the movie The Umbrella Coup.

Picture of the Day: Snow on Red Square aka global warming strikes again.
A Jungle in the Snows of Moscow!
White vs. green.
Lots of snow in Moscow this year... though I have seen much more... anyway trust me to find a jungle even in the midst of a snowy winter with lots of green stuff and I don't mean an artificial football pitch either.
Naturally, to find a jungle in the winter, you go to Botanical Gardens.
Specifically to the old Orangery aka greenhouse.
It's a 1930s building.
Here it is, a tropical paradise.
Here is something for contrast.
A nice place to while away a couple of hours... and partake of some refreshments too.
Bird of paradise flower.
