Beat a Latin course on Duolingo... wee!
Qualis artifex pereo!
By the way, join me on Duolingo why don't you!
Fun fact... Jared Leto's Paolo Gucci suits were by none other than Cesare Attolini.
And they seem to be very happy about, too.
Me, I like the outfits.
Would definitely wear them.
News of own Scent Library - it is growing slowly but surely, this time with the addition of a bottle of Lalique Pour Homme Equus EDP
Horse water.
A bottle of Lalique Equus EDP 75 ml...
... except it doesn't say Equus anywhere just pour homme.
It is nice and very different from the stuff I usually douse myself with.
On first impressions, the bottle feels cheap though, the horse head is not embossed just thinly etched, the tester at the store had a much better bottle, with a proper horse head in relief, but the cap is all right - clicks solid.
Morning!
Have always liked this set from Kevin Yost... and it's over 12 years old too.
Here is a style lesson from Morpheus himself, the original and not the whippersnapper of the disaster that is the latest lame Matrix flick.
Is he wearing a black dress shirt?
Actually, I saw the new Matrix Resurrections on December 16, 2021 here in Moscow, and it's a disaster, here is a review I posted elsewhere:
Many references to the original Matrix film but nothing in the way that made the original so great. Cheap looking cgi, also almost exclusively dark in the real (to us) world to hide fake computer generated scenery, the story is pretty boring, fight choreography is lame, bullet time ridiculously bad, need I go on. Spoiler: she is the one.
Looks like black shoes too and this with a brown suit. Approve!
Bonus
Looks like it's a (silly) menswear book (self-) publishing season.
Might buy though.
Entered another promo contest... to likely make up the numbers never winning anything, as per usual.
The story of my life.
End of story.
Well, at least, it's free, unlike a lottery, even if the result is likely to be the same.
Yes, Mr Fry, I fancy very much!
How come though I never win anything?
I have never had a decent win either in a promo or lottery, and not for the lack of trying.
My strong suspicion is that most, if not all, of the promo raffles and lotteries are fixed, so normal people never win anything.
But this time I really want me some FRYghtening ties and, yes, the book too for my menswear library, I hope there is a picture of every tie mentioned.
Yesterday in the City (of Moscow) - some urban photography and street photography.
A captive British lion, I think?
Using multiple exposures (3) - "normal", underexposed, over exposed ... still can't get it right most of the time haha.
Some pictures from about a week ago, I think it was.
The destination is a Chinese food restaurant called (in translation) Chinese News.
It's on the New Arbat where we frequently are.
It was when we actually went to this restaurant and where I specifically had a Beijing Opera cocktail and a Peking Duck dish, very tasty too.
On entering you are greeted by a replica Terracotta Soldier.
From the menu.
In the restaurant.
Beijing Opera cocktail, for more follow the link.

New arrivals to wardrobe from a haberdashery (or whatever).
A fairly nice rtw piece of shirting.
With a split two-piece yoke and chevroned checks too.
Some claim that it's a hallmark of high quality shirting... and it could as well be... but not on rtw.
And a pair of trouserings or whatever is the genteel word for the pants.
Here is the state of the House of Bogart in my toilet cupboard subsequent to the new arrivals of One Man Shows.
Left to right: One Man Show Original, One Man Show Emerald Edition, One Man Show Ruby Edition, One Man Show Oud Edition.
Although I am a frequent user of scents nowadays - each time I go out - I have some library of scents and these might actually last me a lifetime (what's left of it which is still plenty).
Wore Oud Edition a couple of times and I have to report that, after a promising beginning with what seemed for a while like notes of pine in the style of Encre Noire, it is not that great and gets worse with time, can be worn but that's about it.
