Here is the Kotelnicheskaya Embankment building, a high-rise apartment building, one of the seven Stalin's sisters.
Starting in the 1930, built in stages according to the principle "a city within a building", it had everything you needed at the time for comfortable living even if you chose not to leave the building, including shops, laundry services, hair salons, modern (at the time) appliances, like garbage compactors and garbage shoots in every apartment, and a multi-plex (in modern parlance) cinema in the building, to name but some of them.
