Bing thinking about a Barbour jacket or two, one for town, one for country, so here is my fan Barbour lookbook.
Note, pictures not mine, pulled from the Internet, hat tip to their owners.
BTW, I myself am still undecided as to whether Barbour is "based or cringe", and whether am more likely to buy if it's a majority opinion "based" or "cringe"... get it?
First, PRO (more or less)
Nigel "Brexit" Farage, looking good!
Military looking barbours
Looking beautiful in a Barbour, Lady Di... and she did already
Simon Crompton, a menswear icon, he replied once to me on Instagram
Guy from Newcastle, former military, told me once some 25 years ago over a drink or two, the
Argies shot down a couple of chopper-loads of these Barbour-clad SASs
when they went in to land on the Malvinas or wherever it was 40 years ago which I guess makes Barbour even more interesting and storied and contributes to Barbour's notoriety.
How not to style a Barbour jacket from some random larper plying his wares on the Internet, for some reason, he thinks he's got something to sell fit-wise.
Came across this accidentally, thought it too funny.
It's in the British museum, and the description goes like this.
An Edinburgh wynd or close. A man seated on a bucket is using it
as a latrine. A man holding a bucket stands behind him, screening him
with his cloak, and turning round to call "Haud your Hond Lossie" to a
woman who is emptying a bucket of filth from a first-floor window. A man
is seated on the ground on the right by a steaming cauldron, across
which is a large spoon. He is calling "Twa dips
& a wallop for a Baubee". The men are in Highland dress. Beneath the
title is engraved:
"Yi dunna ken what I can dee For I can set ye doon & cure ye tee" 1 August 1781
Europe's future looks increasingly like what is depicted above as more energy resources are denied to European nations who have virtually none of their own, but in fact it's nothing new as denizens of Europe have always literally lived and rooted in shit, hence the prevalence of the word "shit" in major European languages such as English, German, French, etc. where it is one of the most frequent words and is used to denote a wide range of notions by reference to the common European denominator and the foundation of European culture - human and animal feces - on which everything is built in Europe and has always been, hence Europe is a Colossus on feet of shit.
