Detroit Iron in Moscow (DIM)... a series where I photograph "Detroit iron" in Moscow -- i.e. full-size American automobiles that I see on Moscow streets, lanes and in back yards whilst not specifically looking for them.
Today's subject is this Lincoln Town Car Signature Series, likely 3rd (and last) Generation.
This seems to be roadworthy.
Missing some of that whalebone (whatever) in the grille.
Panther platform.
Unwashed.
Signature Series magnum something or other trim.
Missed it.
Keyless keypad entry! Can you not tell the combination by wear on the keys?

Montana 2... a cheap electronic watch
Montana 2... a cheap electronic watch traditionally called "Montana".
The "artwork" on the back is practically invisible either.
A much simpler module but the same manufacturer logo as in the other Montana -- one with "melodies".
Actually this is the wrong kind of Montana -- the right kind is in one of the previous posts on this blog -- Montana, a digital watch which has a full complement of functions, tunes, alarm, stopwatch and an hourly signal. Unlike this one.
This one has only 12-hour am/pm time indication (no 24-hour mode). Not sure if it has a stopwatch. Also, some of the lettering, which is supposed to be in English is way off, but other words are spelled right.

Travel: Dubna River
More travel north of Moscow -- photos of the Dubna river at Votria.
The Dubna river as can be seen from the bridge over it at Votria village, north of Moscow.
Looking downstream.
On August 16, 2014, a sunny and hot late summer day.
The river is shallow, perhaps in need of dredging, but is fast flowing at this point.
Looking upstream now.
Some kayaking's going on.

The Vostok spacecraft.
At the monorail elevated train station upon exit from VDNKh.
A view on Hotel Kosmos.

Paintwork on a Lada
Saw this beauty a few days back...
... the hindquarters of a Lada 111.
Fancy paintwork on the theme of lightning or electric current, etc.
Much enhanced by "rust coloration".

DIM: Chevrolet Caprice Classic
DIM - Detroit Iron in Moscow - today is a Chevrolet Caprice Classic.
Looks like Fourth and last Gen 1991 - 1996.
B body?
It doesn't look like it could drive off this place.

According to Urban Dictionary, "Detroit Iron" means a big, heavy, bad-handling car made in Detroit. A road locomotive. Me, I like the look (and the idea) of them though.
