And in the Daily Mail
Terror warlord al-Baghdadi denounces the West - but is spotted wearing '£3,500 James Bond wristwatch'
I am not sure what a Sekonda is doing here.

His choice of accessory, which is believed to be either a Rolex, Sekonda or £3,500 Omega seamaster, has been highlighted as jarring with the content of his controversial speech.
I am not sure what a Sekonda is doing here.

SMH - A watch that's been everywhere, man
On a traveling watch... sent around the country for people to wear it and photograph it.
A watch that's been everywhere, man
Nothing new though. In fact it's pretty old by now. Over on Watchuseek they've been doing it for years (maybe), definitely on the Russian and Affordable watch sub-forums.
For example - The Traveling Vostok, who wants it?

Alexander Shorokhoff: Avantgarde Miss Pilot
Alexander Shorokhoff (founder of Poljot International) with a pilot watch for ladies? - Avantgarde Miss Pilot.
Article in German
Alexander Shorokhoff: Avantgarde Miss Pilot
Personally I am not convinced... but, as far as I was able to understand, it is powered by the Poljot 3133 so I guess that redeems it.

HP iPAQ Pocket Computer
My pocket / palm computer - HP iPAQ circa 2005.
HP iPAQ x11-21204 - to call it by its full name [edit] or may be it is not its name, may be it is hx2000 or something.
Before the iphone and ipad there was the iPAQ... also it was before twitter or even youtube really in 2005.

As you can see, its OS software dates back to 1.01.04.
It has a chargeable battery like a mobile phone.
Home screen. The black button on top is ON/OFF, the buttons on the lower end - navigation.
It has a stylus too... with which you poke at the screen.
The Start menu. It looks packed with programs.
Some games -- both pre-installed (bubble breaker and solitaire) and those I installed myself (two chess programs).
In the end, the only thing I used it for (and still use occasionally) is to play chess vs Pocket Fritz 2. And the Fritz means business, make no mistake (literally).
Iranian Cars Back in Russia
It says Iranian cars are about to return to Russian car dealers, having been previously sold during 2007-09, such as the Samand (Peugeot 405), etc., mainly re-styled Peugeot models (which I think is good).
Iranian Peugeot 405 ... why don't they sell this one in Russia? It would be a major hit on the low end of the market and beyond, I think... but probably Peugeot wouldn't let them.
Sarir - a stretched Samand?

Koutouzoff's soviet watches: Shturmanskie 15j.: I decided to buy this very clean Shturmanskie 15j., after having sold my 2 previous ones:
Seems like a very good specimen.

Swatch Sistem51
With SISTEM51, Swatch has opened up an exciting new world. Unprecedented technological innovation (17 pending patents) enabled the development, in less than two years, of a self-winding mechanical movement with only 51 parts in five modules. SISTEM51 is 100 percent Swiss made and features an exceptional 90 hour power reserve.
Presidential ZiL-41052 On Sale
If this article (in Russian) is to be believed, Gorbachev and then Yeltsin's limo ZiL-41052 is now on sale.
I like it better than what they ride in now (some Pulmann Mercedes or something).
Yours for a mere US$ 1.69 million. Seems excessive though.
Nice! - I could live on the back seat... and not alone either, curtains and all.
