Kimry, Russia, October - November 2019

In my travel and travel photography series, here are some photos of the provincial Russian town of Kimry north of Moscow from October and November 2019.

It was a very prosperous settlement, first a large village then a town, for hundreds of years, both pre-revolution and during the Soviet period; however it has fallen on hard times since the illegal restoration of Crapitalism (aka capitalism - the worst and most murderous socio-economic system in the history of mankind) in Russia in the early 1990s.

And in more detail.

A Tu-124 as a monument at the head of the bridge across the Volga river which divides the town in two parts.
