The fastest and highest altitude jet fighter in the world.
As of 2019, it remains the fastest mass-produced manned aircraft in operational service.
One of the few aircraft that was almost entirely made of stainless steel.

The large air launched anti-aircraft carrier missile was developed at locally at Dubna.

In March 1937, the Ivankovo dam blocked the Volga.
A reservoir was formed, called the Moscow Sea.
It flooded a territory, which was previously occupied by 106 settlements.
Another sight is this hardened pillbox.
It used to control access to the dam in case the German Nazis advanced that far in 1941 (which they nearly did albeit temporarily).

The
dam of the Ivankovskaya hydroelectric station is one of the power
stations of the Moscow Canal and is part of the Volga-Kama cascade of
hydroelectric power stations.
The dam is more than 200 meters long and 29 meters high and was built in 1932.
A highway has been laid on the hydroelectric power station constructions, from which panoramic views of the city open.

The second largest monument to Lenin in Russia (and in the world).
The height of the monument is 25 meters, and together with the pedestal - 37 meters.
