An 1992 (1993) clock, it is a travel alarm clock.
The clock itself is mechanical and the mechanical movement trips an electronic AA battery-powered alarm, and not only that, there is also a choice of either one alarm signal or three melodies to be made by moving the two sliders on the left-hand side at the front.
The battery compartment cover is missing, as is a small foldable support.

According to WUS sources this type of travel clock was first produced either by Swiss Nepro or the GDR's Ruhla under the brand of Sumatic.
A 20+ year-old clock but everything still works - the mechanical movement, the alarm and even the melodies still play even if rather quietly.
The mechanical movement is the Luch 1801.1.

Actually the Luch factory continues to make another variety of the same design to this day (Luch 2755170), however, not this melody'd version.
