Games In Progress: Mafia II Definitive Edition Completed

In gaming news, late last year beat Mafia II Definitive Edition on my PS4.

Not in the mood to analyze it or even do a simple write-up, I'll just say that it was far less enjoyable than the original Mafia II with some changes clearly much for the worse, the game play didn't feel right at times - in some missions more than in the others, however there were some moments, and it's much easier to beat than the original Mafia II.

So here is proof in screen shots, mostly some of the trophies. 

A lesson in manners, indeed.

Games In Progress: Fight Night Champion PS3 - beat as Butterbean

Here, have beaten another game earlier this year - Fight Night Champion on PS3 - won the Legacy mode and as Butterbean no less - collecting all three belts, maxing all skills, and knocking out Mike Tyson about 4 times.

Your boy here is a gamer with decades of experience who started playing video games on the likes of 486 something processor IBM compatibles and later Sega and Sony PS1 through PS4 which I all have, and all are in working order barring one of the two PS2s.

True, I didn't progress to above Champion because it would have required winning too many bouts, into the hundreds of them probably, and even though I had got a knack of winning easily it became a drag after a while and would have required too much time.

llya's Radio Shack: Sony PSP Thru Car Radio = Driving to Liberty City Radio

Here is something from my new radio blog dealing exclusively with my interest in radio - an "innovative" use of my Sony PSP console for radio surfing purposes even if the radio is kind of fictional.

The objective here is to drive my car whilst surfing radio stations from the GTA Liberty City Stories game for the PSP especially and also from the GTA Vice City Stories. 

Just like you did in the game (minus the mayhem).

In case the explanation in the video isn't clear, here is how I do it again.

To connect my Sony PSP console to my Ford Sony Radio I use the latter's auxiliary input as it doesn't have any other way of connectivity being a 2008 radio. 

I plug the cord into the headphones out on the PSP. Then I select the auxiliary input to play on the radio and we are all set!

To play radio stations in the game you don't have to be actively playing the game. What you do is go to the Options Screen by pressing Start once the game is running, then select Audio, and on the Audio screen you can, among other things, make the in-game radio stations play in full and you can cycle between them using the left and right directional buttons on the PSP.

So I set it like that and leave the PSP on the passenger's seat and drive to that famous radio! 

I prefer Liberty City radio more. My favorites stations are Radio Del Mundo, Flashback FM, Rise FM with DJ Sanchez but I listen to all of them. 

Perfect for a long trip, a station plays for about 40 minutes and starts all over again.

Classic 70s and 80s Games Online

The BBC says classic video games from the 1970s and 1980s have been put online by the Internet Archive and are playable for free.

The collection has launched with games from five early home consoles, including the Atari 2600 and Colecovision.

The other machines included are the Atari 7800, the Magnavox Odyssey (known as the Philips Videopac G7000 in Europe) and the Astrocade.

Well-recognised titles such as Pacman, Space Invaders and Frogger are all in the archive - with more consoles and games expected soon.
