Moscow Today on April 24, 2015

Today went for a meal out in center of Moscow - here are pictures I made with my mobile phone on the way there -- photos of Moscow today the twenty fourth day of April in the year two thousand and fifteen, the Christ the Savior Cathedral, bridges over the Moskva river, views on the Kremlin, etc.

The weather is on the cold side for the time.

On the bridge across the Moskva river at, I think, Bersenyevskaya naberezhnaya.

Later that evening and closer to my current home in north Moscow, half-drunk on Sake.

Tverskaya to Red Square

Streets of Moscow -- a walk along Tverskaya Street on and almost to Red Square on the first day of the new 2015 year, in the evening.

Starting along Tverskaya Street which leads on to the Kremlin.

At the Central Post Office (with the screen), Red Square can already be seen in the distance.

What looks like a giant New Year Tree toy thronged by people, I don't find it very interesting.

Center is what used to be the Marxist History Museum.

Unfortunately the weather is nasty -- a major thaw, snow to slush everywhere, grey skies but it is warm for the season.

Tonight's walk was in the center of Moscow, near the Moskva River which, as it turns out, is apparently brimming with fish -- more about it later.
