Titanic Building and Shukhov Tower

 Here are two Moscow landmarks in my photography.

First, the Titanic Building, a massive residential building, built in the late 1980s according to the "City in a building" concept, incorporating utilities, shops and services, 400 meters long, 14 stories tall, with two-level apartments on the upper floors, also known as "Ship Building", "Bachelor Pad Building" and "Reclining Skyscraper".

And the world-famous Shukhov tower.

Under renovation now, and they have really messed it up and will probably do even worse. 

 

Whoever's responsible for that deserves to be shot on the spot.

Negroni at Pitti 105

The Negroni is maybe a classic menswear drink.

Amarone Lunch

 Nice lunch I had last summer or was it autumn already, built around a bottle of cheap Amarone wine, that can be readily had here in Russia at lower-end supermarket chains.

Though cheap (for an Amarone), the wine is not necessarily bad

I think I got the pairing down pat.

Night Snow Scenes in Moscow

 Here are some night snow scenes in Moscow from about a week ago.

 

At Hlebozavod No. 9

 

 Same evening as the above pictures had this late lunch at Brothers Karavaev delicatessen cafe here in Moscow, Savelovsky Train Terminal area, in case anybody is interested.

A duck, orange and walnut salad, Pozharsky cutlet with mashed potatoes and some cheese thing.

 A three-Martini lunch... in fact, two Maritinis and a Negroni, of the Martinis one is more or less regular dirty Martini with an olive, the other is an upside-down red sweet fiero Martini.

Barolo in Country

 A bottle of cheap Barolo - Antario - enjoyed in the country whilst gardening

We liked it, great if short-lived nose, palate and body - peters out quickly though or the taste buds get saturated and unresponsive - whereupon drinks as a regular table red.
