Watch of the Day: Vostok Komandirskie 2414A
My watch of the day on May 11, 2015 was this Vostok Komandirskie 2414A manual wind watch which spent the entire 2014-15 winter at my country cottage (aka Dacha) and got its first (manual) wind in 2015 on Sunday May 10, 2015.
On a bicycle.
Also of note is the fact that I set a new max speed record on this 13-year-old cheap bike of mine... it's not too visible as the point-and-click predictably chose to focus on the grass, but it's still 32.5 km/h. I can (and will) do more though.

Wristwatch: Komandirskie 2414A
Komandirskie 2414A manual wind watch.
However I do like the way the case looks... almost like some on-wrist device from a sci-fi movie.
The movement also looks nice.
Here it is -- on my wrist. Komandirskie actually means an Army commander's (watch). It is splash- and some shock resistant.
Note the quirky and unusual case shape... something like an eight-point star... and the crown... which is at about 1:30 o'clock. I have to say that there is not much convenience of use gained by placing it there instead of its usual place at 3 o'clock.

Watch of the Day: Komandirskie 2414A
My watch of the day (WOTD) on September 13, 2014, Saturday, was this Komandirskie 2414A watch.
Note the crown at between 1 and 2 o'clock and the star-shaped case.
And on a bicycle.
This one is a Komandirskie 2414A manual wind watch, a current version, and is in fact my latest acquisition.
Note the crown at between 1 and 2 o'clock and the star-shaped case.
And on a bicycle.
