Watch of the Day is Trench Watch Zlatoust

No reason but watch of the day today happens to be my Russian early 20th century style Zlatoust Trench Watch or Wristlet.

Meant to represent pocket-to-wrist watch conversions; I have had it for close to 4 years already.

Also, known as the Saucepan watch.

Watch of the Day: Zaria Moonphase

Watch of the Day: Zaria Moonphase

See? the watch doesn't lie!

And while I am at it, here is some moon photography - it's the very full moon of the past few days which is known as the Snow Moon.

Watch of the Day: Strela 3133

Here is my watch of the day today February 22, 2021 - my 3133 Strela Shturmanskie.

I think I did a write-up on the watch in this post but most of the earlier pictures seem to have disappeared.

August Travels with a Mako 3 on the Wrist and a Linen Jacket on the Back!

Here are some pictures from my August (2020) travels with my Mako3 watch, which some also call Kamasu for some reason, also featuring my BR mini houndstooth linen jacket, one of its last outings this season I believe.

Ahoy, there!

Watches in Rotation

My most worn watches...

Let's see... what do we have here...

Two Vostock Amphibians, of which one is a 2018 Neptune.
Two chronographs powered by the Poljot 3133 movement - a Volmax Strela and a 1976-2011 Okean re-issue.
A Moonphase Zaria as a wrist watch.
And two Orient diver's watches that had somehow sneaked in there... a Mako XL and a Limited Edition Blue MOP Dial Mako III (also known somewhere as a "komasu").

Mako's lunch - watch of the day February 08, 2020

Mako has run down him some lunch - won't go hungry today... or maybe it was yesterday.

Some fish tins from Portugal and the watch of the day itself which is one of my newer additions to collection - my Mako XL.

And the tins are quite fancy, especially the one bearing the name of 1943 and quoting a collection of some selected events that took place in 1943 (a very eventful year obviously) - Portugal ceased a base to the Allies and Mick Jagger, Jim Morrison and Robert De Niro were all born in 1943.
