Cafe Culture and Georgian Cuisine, Red Wine and Khinkali

The 2022 summer goes on, and so does my street cafe dining, and the summer has been pretty warm so far in Moscow, especially in the second half, about a month already with temperatures at about 30C, which is conducive to cafe culture and in fact makes it imperative to stop at street cafes, at least in my experience, especially if the place has a sun tent or something.

It wasn't today; but the order of the day when it was was some 500 ml of Georgian red wine...

And some khinkali, a kind of meat-stuffed dumplings, traditional Georgian, very tasty when they are good, and not so when there aren't.

These are cooked ones.

And the other three are cooked and fried for a little difference in tasting experience.

These shoes are not made for walking (much).

Unfortunately, the khinkali were just middling at the place, though still eatable, but by no means great.

And some Tequila sunrise.

Napkin

Nice pattern.

2/ 3 Summer 2022, Seafood, Red Wine, Mediterranean Cuisine

The 2022 summer goes on and is about to culminate as at August 1, 2022 and so does my summer-mode eating out, cafe culture style, preferably at somebody else's expense in this case something straight out of the Mediterranean cuisine play book.

Mediterranean cuisine dishes, including specifically those from Italian cuisine, are good to enjoy in summer time.

Enter an Italian-style lunch at a faux Italian-styled eatery here in Moscow, on one of the main thoroughfares in Moscow - Lenindgradskoye shosse.

Here is my photo reportage.

 What was had:

Seafood salad, including mussels.

Pasta - something called Spaghetti Al Pomodoro.

Two glasses of red wine, to wash everything down. Or wherever.

Two 150 gr glasses of red wine, something called:

Montepulciano D'Abruzzo, dry red

Terre Allegre, semi-sweet

Nice drinkable wine but nothing too memorable.

Some collateral views, the rest room at the place

A Feast in Time of Covid-19: Drinking Apricot Cognac

Some days ago, and to be precise on Monday the 16th day of the Month of March in the Year 2020, was taste-testing some apricot cognac.

Ararat Apricot, Armenian Cognac, aged 6 years.

And I really liked it, so much so that have since bought a bottle!

Accompanied with a "Eastern-Style" coffee and some chucha - a sweet made of walnut and a fig.
