He was also known for his classic menswear (CM) choices - he dressed in classic menswear but with a heavy dose of his own inimitable style and sprezza, often dispensing with CM conventions and rules altogether.

Today's Bottle of Wine

Today snagged this bottle of liquid Nerello Mascalese grapes, a Sicilian red wine, I am positive it'll be good for the price and at least for one lunch.

Not sure though we can provide these food pairings, though plenty of (stool) pigeons around, I think, a lump of mozarella with sliced tomatoes and some chicken breast will have to do.

Food pairings for Nerello Mascalese wines include:

• Pigeon breasts in red-wine sauce
• Wild mushroom and eggplant filo parcels
• Linguini with tomato and clams

Last Beer Drunk To Date: Urquell Pilsner Again

Some more Urquell Pilsner drunk recently, I don't mind it, even though think it's much overrated as everything Czech is.

Cava in Morning

 Nothing like a bottle of Cava in the morning.

Semi Seco, which is the second sweetest grade, is indeed too sweet but after half a bottle it doesn't seem like a problem anymore.

Also, wonder what Palette de France means.

Still, the black fungus cheese is pretty good, and goes well with cava/champagne.

Cork with Hole

 Some cheap Italian crianza

Well, demi bottle 1 tasted good for lunch with some mozarella cheese but demi bottle 2 that was finished on the second day seemed to taste a lot worse, not sure if the super-duper cork had anything to do with it, or if the wine was not amenable to being sat to breeze once opened.

A definite preference for suits there though not worn in a very classic menswear way.

1980s Giorgio Armani, Versace Fan Lookbook

 Here is my fan lookbook of Armani's early 1980s designs but also at least one Versace.

While number 1 is definitely Armani, some others are I think Armanis like one below.

An Armani shawl color suit, rather funny looking.

Eric Clapton wearing what I strongly suspect is another shawl collar Armani which looks very cozy... but maybe it is a similar looking Versace.

Arnie's Watch Drawer

 I know it's been awhile but I really like the look of Arnold Schwarzenegger's watch dump drawer.

 

 

What I like about it is not just how expensive his watches are - and they include a few APs, U-boat, FMs, Breitlings, Gold Panerai with CF dial... but also likely Invictas and some even suggested, fakes (out of spite no doubt) - but the messiness of the whole stash.
